Siblings are a very unique type of person. Brothers and sisters will be there for you no matter what (I mean as long as you aren’t a twat.) I don’t mean to make fun of only children, but what you go through with a sibling helps develop social skills you just cannot get anywhere else. Wether you are the oldest, youngest , or one of those weird middle children, you are lucky to have a sibling. Here are the top 5 movies that express what it is like to not grow up alone.
5: The Weasleys (Harry Potter Franchise)
Release Date: 2001-2011
Before cinematic universes were all the rage, the wizarding world of Harry Potter made eight movies that taught us the power of love… an invisible table clothes. The one constant glue of the films were the Weasley’s. Their family dynamic is cozy and down to earth. Honestly Harry was more at home with them than he ever was with his own, even before he married into the family.
4: Wednesday and Pugsley Addams (The Addams Family)
Release Date: 1991
Sometimes the family you get isn’t exactly the family you want. As odd as the Addams family is, the friendship between Wednesday and Pugsley is one of the weirdest parts. Wednesday literally tortures Pugsley, and he just takes it. But in the end Pugley is always there for her whenever she needs it. That is a dark and twisted kind of love.
3: Billy, Freddy, Mary, Eugene, Pedro and Darla (Shazam!)
Release Date: 2019
The entire film is about family and it’s importance. The bond between the ‘Marvel’ family is strong, in some way stronger because it was the family they chose. The orphans in Shazam coming together to fight off the forces of evil is a truly inspirational moment. Even people with different backgrounds can be the best brothers and sisters.
2: Jake and Elwood (The Blues Brothers)
Release Date: 1980
When you get arrested, who do you think will pick you up from jail. A brother. And he will probably lead you through a crazy story that whinds you both back into jail anyways. Another pair of orphans, Jake and Elwood have a bond closer than most. Cops, Nazis, Ex-wives or even God couldn’t get between them.
1: Lilo and Nani (Lilo and Stich)
Release Date: 2002
The saddest story that siblings can go through is when they lose their parents. A sister is not the same as a mother. Nani does everything in her power to be the person Lilo needs to have in her life. The pinnacle of what a sibling would go through for their family is putting aside your own life and being devoted to their kin, even if it means putting up with aliens.

In a few days the eigth and finale season of the HBO show Game of Thrones is about to air.
